Charles Matton (French, b. 1931- 2008)

Charles Matton was a French multidisciplinary artist: painter, sculptor, designer, writer, photographer, videographer, he was also a filmmaker (writer and director). Art was the most efficient way to capture the universal tension felt in every living thing- from bacteria to human beings. Matton’s art seemed to animate nature, provoking and perfecting life.
